Mission: “It is the mission of Emerson Elementary School, in cooperation with the parents and community, to provide a positive learning environment which enables all children to reach their maximum potential for success both in their quest for knowledge and in understanding the world around them.”

Welcome to Emerson Elementary, home of the little Yellow Jackets! We hope you will peruse the website to learn more about the operation of the building. Emerson is a K-4 building with many outstanding traditions. We educate about 400 students daily under the premise that every child can learn. Through differentiated instruction, regular formative assessments and intervention strategies, we pledge to provide the best possible education for our children.

Emerson Elementary Goals for 2013-2014
Academic- Emerson staff will differentiate instruction to meet the academic growth needs of all children K-4. We will also address weaknesses on OAA test scores and increase the number of students on track for the 3rd grade guarantee while implementing Common Core Curriculum Standards.

Social Skills/Culture- Emerson staff will promote social skill development, utilize the expected behavior matrix, and embrace a positive behavior support system that provides for a safe and supportive environment.

Outreach- Emerson staff will provide opportunities for parent or community outreach during both semesters of the school year, and communicate consistently with parents throughout the school year.
